NEW Central Mississippi Cheerleading Showcase Program!
Central Mississippi Cheerleading is one of the top cheer and dance training facilities in the world. Our innovative style of teaching safe and proper progressions in the sport has helped propel both our program and our graduates to great heights. CMC is now developing a new program to take the place of our classes for beginners. Classes are typically limited to majority individual skills and limit the ability to learn very important squad skills. Classes also tend to be boring and monotonous for many athletes, as they never get to test or Showcase their newly acquired skills.
CMC Showcase groups will consist of athletes grouped together in appropriate age and skill levels. They will work with our coaches on all aspects of the level appropriate cheerleading. Cheerleading consists of tumbling, jumps, motions, dance, and building skills. Following the session the athletes will do a free performance for their parents and friends. This performance will give us a chance to recognize the achievements of each athlete as well as give them motivation to master each skill.
The cost of each session will be $195, which can be split into 3 payments of $65. The fee will also include an outfit that will be used at practice and for the Showcase! If you are ready to start while we are still in session that is no problem! CMC will have a holding class so that you can go ahead and begin to work on the appropriate skills.
Many of you are probably wondering why we would offer this over just tumbling classes. Many of you may prefer to just take tumbling classes! The fact is, tumbling classes rarely if ever work. Our staff has been listed as top 25 on the planet! We have learned a lot over the years. One of the things we learned is that if one person is doing something, everyone thinks it is the right thing to do. Many of you know that your friends’ kids are taking tumbling classes so your child should too. Well that was the old way of thinking! Would you put your son in baseball lessons for years and never play a game?
Another misconception is that if your child gets advanced tumbling skills that they will make a certain team or program. This is not true! Most tryouts are judged more heavily on motions, jumps, and dance. The major problems many programs have are that their athletes never learned building and team skills. Trust us! We are judges at many of these tryouts.
The answer is so simple! Cheerleading is a great health benefit to our children, but one of the best things it does is build confidence. It is a performance sport that teaches our kids to embrace the pressure of performance and use it as fuel for their inner motivation.
The CMC coaches understand that most kids want to experience these things but may be limited due to time commitments or costs. This program will combine the best of both worlds by allowing kids to practice once a week with great coaches, learn amazing age and level appropriate skills, and be able to perform those skills all at a cost of a tumbling class. They get a free practice outfit too! Showcases will be free for all to attend and athletes will move up as their skill level grows.
